Puppy & Home Visits

Terms & Conditions

  1. Leading Paws (LP) will take adequate steps to ensure that your home is safe and secure in your absence, however LP cannot be held responsible for any accidents caused by your pet(s) or any burglaries occurring in your absence.

  2. LP takes great pride in the care of any animal in their charge, however they cannot be held responsible for any loss, accident, injury or death caused to any animal whilst in their care.

  3. The client must provide all items necessary for your pet to be adequately cared for in your absence.​

  4. LP advise clients to notify neighbours that LP will be visiting the clients home in their absence. 

  5. Any dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations (kennel cough etc.) and be fully flea and anti-worm treated.

  6. All clients will be deemed to have accepted LP terms and conditions (as laid out here) on signature of the contract.

  7. LP will not confirm any booking until a consultation has been carried out with the client and the contract, with full details of client requirements, has been signed.

  8. I agree to provide keys / arrange access for LP for the dog walking / pet home care appointment.

  9. I agree to reimburse LP for any additional fees for providing emergency care, as well as any expenses incurred for unexpected visits, transportation, housing, food, or supplies.

  10. The client agrees to notify LP of any concerns / complaints within 24 hours of any appointments.

  11. The client must provide all items necessary for pets to be adequately cared for in the clients absence (i.e. medication, leads, tags, collars, etc.). Should pets require any additional supplies whilst in the care of LP, these will be purchased and added to the bill.

  12. Full payment for services is to be made on agreed date, usually on the last day of each week via cash, cheque or bank transfer.

  13. The client must provide LP with the name and contact number of someone capable of making a decision in relation to the pet(s) in an emergency. If the contact is not available LP reserves the right to consult with a veterinary surgeon and then make a decision which is in the best interests of the animal. 

  14. I authorise LP to obtain any emergency veterinary care that may be necessary during the time spent with my pet. Every effort will be made to contact the owner prior to obtaining emergency care. I accept responsibility for any charges related to this emergency care. I also authorise LP to utilise an alternative veterinarian in the event my regular veterinarian is unavailable.

  15. LP must be alerted to any problems with their pets at the time of booking. Failure to do so may result in additional charges or cancellation of any future contract.

  16. Although LP holds Public Liability Insurance, wherever possible pets should be insured by the client. LP reserves the right to refuse a booking for any animal which is not insured.

  17. The client must inform LP if a female dog is due to be in season, or in season.

  18. LP agrees to provide the services stated in this agreement in a reliable, caring and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, the client expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against LP, its employees or assigns, except those arising from negligence of the pet sitter.

  19. LP accepts no responsibility for security of the premises or loss if other individuals have access to the home during the term of this agreement. During all assignments pet care will only be undertaken by LP owner or employees, unless pre-arranged with the client.

  20. LP will not let any dog off his/her lead unless express owner consent has been given.

  21. LP is not responsible for damage incurred by any pet escaping because of faulty lead/collar or a collar that is not properly fitting.

  22. LP will not be liable for the injury, disappearance, death, or fines of any pet with unsupervised access to the outdoors.

  23. It is expressly understood that LP shall not be held responsible for any damage to the client's property, or that of others, caused by the clients pet during the period in which they are in its care. Client has advised LP of all situations, which will relieve it of liability for damage. 

  24. This agreement is valid for all future visits until a new agreement is signed. LP reserves the right to terminate this agreement at any time, as its sole discretion; likewise, client may terminate this agreement at any time. There is no term of contract for daily dog walking. 

  25. LP will care for your animal as you would, and whilst we will make every effort to ensure your pet is well looked after in your absence, Leading Paws cannot be held liable for any loss, injury or death to a pet either inside or outside of the home whilst in our care.
