Group Walk

Terms & Conditions

  1. All clients will be deemed to have accepted Leading Paws (LP) terms and conditions (as laid out here) on signature of the contract.

  2. LP will not confirm any booking until a consultation has been carried out with the client and the contract, with full details of client requirements, has been signed.

  3. I agree to provide keys / arrange access for LP for the dog walking / pet home care appointment.

  4. I agree to reimburse LP for any additional fees for providing emergency care, as well as any expenses incurred for unexpected visits, transportation, housing, food, or supplies.

  5. The client agrees to notify LP of any concerns / complaints within 24 hours of any appointments.

  6. The client must provide all items necessary for pets to be adequately cared for in the clients absence (i.e. medication, leads, tags, collars, etc.). Should pets require any additional supplies whilst in the care of Leading Paws, these will be purchased and added to the bill.

  7. Full payment for services is to be made on agreed date, usually on the last day of each week via cash, cheque or bank transfer.

  8. The client must provide LP with the name and contact number of someone capable of making a decision in relation to the pet(s) in an emergency. If the contact is not available Leading Paws reserves the right to consult with a veterinary surgeon and then make a decision which is in the best interests of the animal. 

  9. I authorise LP to obtain any emergency veterinary care that may be necessary during the time spent with my pet. Every effort will be made to contact the owner prior to obtaining emergency care. I accept responsibility for any charges related to this emergency care. I also authorise LP to utilise an alternative veterinarian in the event my regular veterinarian is unavailable.

  10. LP must be alerted to any problems with their pets at the time of booking. Failure to do so may result in additional charges or cancellation of any future contract.

  11. Although LP holds Public Liability Insurance, wherever possible pets should be insured by the client. LP reserves the right to refuse a booking for any animal which is not insured.

  12. The client must inform LP if a female is due to be in season, or in season, which will then only be walked on an individual walk while in season.

  13. LP agrees to provide the services stated in this agreement in a reliable, caring and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, the client expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against LP, its employees or assigns, except those arising from negligence of the pet sitter.

  14. LP accepts no responsibility for security of the premises or loss if other individuals have access to the home during the term of this agreement. During all assignments pet care will only be undertaken by LP owner or employees, unless pre-arranged with the client.

  15. LP will not let any dog off his/her lead unless express owner consent has been given.

  16. LP is not responsible for damage incurred by any pet escaping because of faulty lead/collar or a collar that is not properly fitting.

  17. LP will not be liable for the injury, disappearance, death, or fines of any pet with unsupervised access to the outdoors.

  18. It is expressly understood that LP shall not be held responsible for any damage to the client's property, or that of others, caused by the clients pet during the period in which they are in its care. Client has advised Leading Paws of all situations, which will relieve it of liability for damage. 

  19. This agreement is valid for all future visits until a new agreement is signed. LP reserves the right to terminate this agreement at any time, as its sole discretion; likewise, client may terminate this agreement at any time. There is no term of contract for daily dog walking. 

  20. LP will care for your animal as you would, and whilst we will make every effort to ensure your pet is well looked after in your absence, Leading Paws cannot be held liable for any loss, injury or death to a pet either inside or outside of the home whilst in our care.

  21. All dogs being exercised must be fully vaccinated and on a regular flea and worm control regime.

  22. All dogs being walked will undergo a trail period to ensure that the are adequately trained and socialised. 

  23. LP reserves the right to cancel the contract at any time & with immediate effect if the dog does not respond well to the walker and/or other dogs. 

  24. All dogs will be exercised on a lead unless prior agreement has been reached with Leading Paws and has been signed on the contract. LP cannot be held responsible if the dog runs away.

  25. The walker will apply personal judgement and cut short a walk if necessary because of extreme weather conditions (ie, heat, thunderstorms) for the safety of both the dogs and the walker.

  26. If female is due in season/in season LP must be advised. During time in season the dog will be walked on an individual basis, however this may not be as long as 1 hour, but no shorter than half an hour.

  27. Unsociable dogs will be walked on their own and on a lead. They may be also be required to wear a muzzle. If for any reason LP feels the dog is becoming a danger to itself or any other animal/human we reserve the right to cancel the walk immediately and still be paid in full.

  28. The client is liable if the dog injures any 3rd party, property or other animal.

  29. LP will walk the dog described on the booking form for no less than the time agreed and on the days booked from the clients address unless another address is specified.
